How to hire a trusted technician

Choosing a technician is easier when you compare evidence instead of relying on the lowest number alone.

Start with a precise request

Describe the visible problem, when it started, what you have already tried, and where the work will happen. Add clear photos in the conversation when they help diagnose the issue. A specific request gives technicians enough context to estimate responsibly.

Compare the complete offer

Look at the proposed amount alongside the technician’s experience, service categories, verification status, message, and availability. Ask whether the offer includes materials, transport, cleanup, and return visits.

  • Confirm the exact scope before accepting.
  • Ask who will supply parts and materials.
  • Record timing and access requirements.
  • Clarify how unexpected work will be approved.

Keep changes in writing

Once a bid is accepted, use the Handigo conversation for changes to scope, price, and timing. A clear record protects both participants when memory and expectations differ.

Check before confirming completion

Test the repair where practical, inspect cleanup, and compare the result with the agreed scope. If more work is needed, send the completion request back with a specific explanation. If a serious concern cannot be resolved directly, open a dispute from the job page within the available window.

Handigo does not process payments. Agree on payment arrangements directly and never share passwords, card PINs, one-time codes, or bank login details.
